Dear SAU 90 Staff and Families,
It is with great pride that our school year comes to an end today. What a wonderful week we have had with our students, families, and community. Last Friday, I had the pleasure of attending the Winnacunnet High School Graduation. It was thrilling to see that five of the top ten graduates were from the Hampton School District. What a wonderful evening for our community! Last night, we held our Final Assembly for our eighth graders on the Hampton Academy lawn. Early in the day, we hosted our Fifth Grade Farewell at Marston School. These culminating milestones allowed us the opportunity to celebrate our students, thank our staff and families, and recognize the hard work that went into this past year. Our sincere gratitude to all of our families and staff for their continued support this year. It takes a village…and I am proud that mine is Hampton!
At our school board meeting in May, we recognized seven outstanding staff members who will be retiring at the end of the school year. These amazing educators have over 150 years combined of service to the Hampton School District. They leave behind a legacy of students, parents, and colleagues who they have all positively impacted during this time. We wish them all the best as they move forward and begin retirement. These staff members include Principal Timothy Lannan of Centre School; School Secretary of Marston School, Julie Jefferson; Crossing Guard/Dining Room Monitor/Clerical Support Staff, Sharon Tovey; Para Educator, Christine Strong from Hampton Academy; Technology Educator from Hampton Academy, Susan MacNicoll; Science Teacher from Hampton Academy, Kimberly Warburton; and Math Teacher from Hampton Academy, Karen Bonsaint. We thank them for their years of service and congratulate them on their successful tenure in our district.
We are pleased to let you know that Mr. Marc Robitaille will be the Centre School Principal, joining Mrs. Jamie Hayward. Dr. Cornelius Campbell, III will be the Hampton Academy Principal joined by Mrs. Amber Levine the Interim Assistant Principal. We look forward to having these administrators join our leadership team on July 1.
On behalf of the district, I wish you all a wonderful, well-deserved summer. May it be filled with happy memories, time at our beautiful beaches, and good health. Our district is open daily from 8 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday – Thursday, and 8 AM – 12 noon on Friday. If you need anything at all, please feel free to reach out to your child’s principal or me. Also, names for next year’s teachers will be released in August. Be on the lookout for that information. In closing, please mark your calendar! School begins on Tuesday, August 27. Meet the Teacher will be on Monday, August 26.
Wishing all our dads and father figures a wonderful day on Sunday!
Warmly,
Dr. Lois B. Costa
Superintendent of SAU 90
